Post INTIX 2019 Show Update
LEWIS CENTER, OH â February 12, 2019
What a show for Microcom!
This year at INTIX 2019, Microcom was the platinum RFID @ INTIX sponsor. We were pleased with the response to the system as a good number of exhibitors utilized it for lead-retrieval. At the educational training sessions, every room had a volunteer scanning the name badges to track attendance, providing valuable data to the speakers and INTIX.
This was the biggest show for INTIX to date, bringing in more attendees than previous shows. It was a big show for Microcom, as well. We showed the Model 485TC-RFID ticket printer, the new touch screen feature, and the Model 360C (an on-demand, color laser printer).
This year, Microcom debuted brand new technology that consisted of RFID, a 3 inch touchscreen, and on-demand full color printing. As the Platinum RFID @ INTIX sponsor, Microcom was able to demonstrate RFID technology via the conference name badges. The badges contained an RFID chip for the âRFID @ INTIXâ system programmed with the same information on the badge (i.e., company and attendee name).
All of this printed and programmed by the 485TC RFID printer, currently available for purchase. In addition to showcasing Microcomâs RFID capabilities, conference attendees were able to experience the new color, LED touchscreen display and see the Model 360C print premium full color tickets on demand.
A key highlight from the show was Andrea Flowersâ, National Accounts Manager, appearance during the opening ceremony prior to the keynote speech from the CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, Cynthia Marshall. Andrea delivered an outstanding presentation explaining our RFID @ INTIX project to hundreds of attendees and exhibitors.
Cynthia Marshall gave an inspirational and motivational keynote speech that truly engaged the audience (they were literally dancing in the aisles). Near the end of her presentation, Cynthia invited Maureen Andersen, CEO of INTIX, and Andrea back on stage to present them with tiaras to symbolize that they were the “Queens of their castles” and they made things happen.
During the show, we set up a station for attendees to scan their RFID-enabled name badges to enter into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card. Our lucky winner was Maria Fulay of Microsoft Theater. The station was also set up to randomly select attendees for $25 Amazon gift cards as they scanned, those winners include: Nadine Cino of TygaBox, Kacy Woody of High Point Theatre, Stefani Schrader of Kansas State University, and Lindsey Follis of MGM National Harbor.
We thank everyone at INTIX for giving us an awesome experience and for the new relationships. Microcom can’t wait to see what’s in store for INTIX 2020 in New York!
