Microcom Corporation Announces RFID Kiosk Printer Servicing Airline, Retail, or DOD Applications
LEWIS CENTER, OH – December 7, 2010 – Microcom Corporation, a leading global provider of thermal printers, is pleased to announce the Model 428MRF. Based on the robust design of the Model 428M, this printer was engineered such that the RFID module could be integrated when required by the application.
As one of the only dedicated RFID kiosk printers in the industry, the model 428MRF was designed to service Airline industry bag tags, Retail, and DOD applications. The 428MRF is capable of reading and writing Gen 2 tags through a dedicated USB interface or through the printer’s USB, Serial, Parallel, or Ethernet interfaces. The printer has a 4-inch print width and is available in both 203 and 300 dpi versions for clean, crisp images. The high-lift head mechanism and easily replaceable drive roller make service a snap for years of top performance. A number of optional external sensors allow for total integration of the product and remote monitoring.
