By clicking a component name registered to a project, you can edit the value in each of the Component, ID, Volume, and Path fields.

The PCL form file name will be "ID". This "ID" is used to select a form in the PCL language environment. For the "ID", you can specify a character string comprised of up to 64 single-byte alphanumeric characters, - or _.

POSTSCRIPT form file names are those supplied in the Name field. Name is used to select forms under POSTSCRIPT.

Only one-byte alphanumeric characters are supported in the file name.

The Volume default is a disk. The Path Name default is determined based on each file type. These values are variable, but not to be changed unless the need arises.

Because a device searches only the predetermined directories, it cannot recognize the resource of a file that has been downloaded into another directory and cannot use the resource file.

Certain characters are unusable for Name. Any such characters entered in the Name field are replaced with a hyphen (-) and then the entry is registered to a device.

On demo pages, there are special rules for names. Some target printers may follow the rule DEMOx.DMO (x is an integer between 1 and 32). If entered under a name which does not conform to the above rule, the target printers cannot print. For other printers, you can specify a character string comprised of up to 40 single-byte alphanumeric characters, - or _ as the file name, with a DMO extension.
